Congratulations Abby Couriers!

On Friday 18th May members from the Abby group attended the 2012 Essex County Business Awards, to celebrate another successful year for Essex Businesses. It was a fantastic night where likeminded business men and women come to celebrate and congratulate each other’s achievements. This year the event was held at the wonderful Cliffs Pavilion in Southend. A fantastic night was had by all.

Abby Couriers was up for the ‘Environmental Awareness’ award and much to our surprise and excitement we were one of two winners! Mark Giles, Director, said “It’s absolutely brilliant that we have been recognised for all our hard work, hopefully this will inspire other companies to go green as well”. The award was given due to the efforts Abby Couriers has gone to ensure that a couriers company is as ‘green’ as possible. They have worked in partnership to deliver ’My Parcel Centre.com’ which offer a unique service by giving the consumer the choice of delivery time and day for their parcels. So there is no more waiting all day for a parcel to be delivered or wasted time rescheduling delivery. They also have 3 electric vehicles that deliver in and around Basildon and are looking to work with other companies that have the same ‘green’ mentality.
